Wheels of Hope Project
The Wheels of Hope project continued its impactful journey, achieving remarkable progress in supporting patients referred by the Ministry of Health for treatment in hospitals in Jerusalem and inside the Israel. The project provided safe and reliable transportation between patients’ homes and the crossings, helping to ease the burden on patients and their families. Now in its seventh year (2018-2025), the initiative successfully served hundreds patients with the dedicated support of volunteers and taxi drivers, demonstrating the project’s steadfast commitment to facilitating access to essential medical care.
As part of its efforts to expand reach and serve more beneficiaries, the project launched awareness campaigns via radio and social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) to attract new volunteers and patients and to raise community awareness about the importance of the initiative. Additionally, a recreational days are organized , bringing together patients, their families, and volunteers. These events features a variety of engaging activities, including a communal lunch, entertainment for children, clown performances, and the distribution of gifts, offering participants a joyful break away from the challenges of illness and treatment.
This project embodies the society’s mission to improve the quality of life for patients and to strengthen social solidarity, aligning with our ongoing efforts to support the most vulnerable groups in our community.
