Many communities in the Hebron Governorate, especially marginalized and remote villages, continue to suffer from limited access to essential health and environmental services. Women and children are disproportionately affected by the lack of preventive care, awareness programs, and specialized treatment. Recent assessments conducted by the Green Land Society indicate that over 60% of women in these areas have not received proper health screenings in the past year, increasing their risk of chronic and undiagnosed diseases.

As part of our continuous commitment to improve the health and well-being of the Palestinian community, Green Land Association for Health Development is planning a series of future projects aimed at expanding and diversifying our services. These initiatives are designed to address unmet needs, reach underserved populations, and build sustainable, community-driven models of care. Below is a brief overview of our planned projects.

1. Rehabilitative Daycare Center  and kindergarten  for Children with disabilities

This project envisions the creation of a comprehensive rehabilitative daycare center dedicated to children with developmental, physical, and emotional challenges. The center will offer a full range of assessment and therapy services, including periodic evaluations, recreational and educational activities in addition to physiotherapy, psychosocial support, and counseling for families. By combining professional care with an inclusive environment, the project aims to empower children to reach their fullest potential and to provide caregivers with the knowledge and resources they need to support their children’s development.

2. Community First Responders Program

This project aims to establish a network of trained Community First Responders in every targeted area. Given the challenges posed by difficult road conditions and limited emergency services, empowering local residents to deliver immediate lifesaving interventions is critical. The program will train volunteers to stabilize patients, prevent complications, and maintain vital functions until professional medical help arrives. By activating the nearest possible responder to each incident, this initiative will significantly improve survival rates and health outcomes, especially in remote and underserved communities.

3. Accessible Ambulance Outreach

This initiative envisions deploying a dedicated ambulance service designed to reach patients who lack the means to access medical facilities or live in remote locations. The goal is to provide safe, timely transportation for stable  cases, while ensuring the patient’s condition remains stable during transit. This will enable patients with special needs with wheelchairs or wheel chairs, or bed ridden to reach medical facilities for imaging, consultations, or follow-up in specialized transport system accompanied by trained nurses in cases of emergency.

4. From Hand to Hand: Medical Aid Redistribution Platform

"From Hand to Hand" is a sustainable initiative aimed at creating a centralized digital system for collecting, refurbishing, and redistributing used medical and rehabilitative equipment to individuals in need. The platform will document available items such as walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, hospital beds, commode chairs, air mattresses, mobility aids, and other essential assistive tools that are no longer needed by previous users. Each item will be thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and repaired if needed, then cataloged and made available through our platform for those with limited access to medical resources. This project not only supports underserved patients but also promotes environmental sustainability and community solidarity.

5. Mobile Clinic and Outreach Health Services

The Mobile Clinic project aims to expand our outreach health services by delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care directly to underserved and remote communities. This initiative goes beyond primary medical care to include occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychological support, and specialist consultations, ensuring a holistic approach to health and well-being.

The mobile clinic will be equipped with telemedicine capabilities, allowing for real-time consultations with experts when needed, and will provide targeted services for men, women, elderly individuals, and other vulnerable groups. This project is designed to serve as essential medical back-up for communities with limited access to health facilities, improving early detection, continuity of care, and the overall quality of life for patients.

Key Components:

1.      On-site medical examinations and treatment

2.      Preventive health screenings

3.      Rehabilitation and occupational therapy

6. Mapping and identifying environmental challenges and opportunities in the South West Bank, solutions, and potential investment from the local community's point of view

This initiative aims to expand our environmental centers into hubs of learning, research, and community-based eco-development. The project will focus on environmental education for schools and universities, ecological research, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable agriculture. It will promote environmental awareness and behavioral change while offering real opportunities for youth engagement, green entrepreneurship, and climate resilience.

Through environmental analysis, local needs assessments, and solution-focused studies, the project will identify environmental threats and opportunities, proposing context-based solutions rooted in local knowledge. The program will also foster collaboration with academic institutions to integrate environmental education into curricula and conduct hands-on learning and research.

Key Components:

  1. Environmental awareness and education programs
  2. Research on local environmental challenges and solutions
